Sensor Overview Video Transcript

This overview gives a short introduction of the Waved Sensor and some details about its key features.

The Waved Sensor comes attached to a bracket made for mounting the sensor to flat surfaces, the Bracket and its functionalities will be covered in a different video.

On the front face of the sensor there is a microphone and a State Indicator. The State Indicator will light up, or flash in different colours to let the user know the state of the Sensor.

At the top of the sensor there are two buttons. The left button is the Power Button, which is used to turn the sensor on or off. The right button is the Action Button, which is used to control the sensor or check its state, when using the action button the State indicator will let the user know what action was performed.

Between the two buttons there is a socket for a 5V jack, which is used for charging and power supply.

On the back of the sensor, there is a Power Pin-Header also used for charging and power supply. The Power Pin-Header should only be used together with Waved's proprietary power supplies such as Waved Battery Pack and Waved Trackmount. This is covered in a different video.

The sensor has an internal battery to keep it operational even in the event of a power failure or if it is connected to a circuit that is turned off periodically. When connected to either the 5V Jack Input or the Power Pin-Header the internal battery will charge.

Presentation summarising key takeaways how to use the buttons on a Waved Sensor and how to interpret the State Indicator.
