Waved is developed to work with all digital sound processors with a tcp/ip or udp control protocol. The system can be set up in multiple ways depending on the setup of the venues sound system.
The most common and preferred setup is when the processor is connected to a network that has internet access. This way Waved Hub can communicate with the processor trough an ethernet cable and devices such as mobile phones and tablets over the local network but still communicate with our backend over internet when necessary. This provides the quickest, most stable and reliable connections.
When the processor cannot be connected to a network with internet access, Waved Hub should still communicate with the processor through an ethernet cable but must also be connected to internet through a different network by WIFI.
In the case that the processor and Waved Hub canβt be connected by an ethernet cable, Waved Hub and the processor can communicate over WIFI. This will result in a less stable connection and is to be avoided when possible.
When the processor and Waved Hub can connect to the same local network (either by ethernet cable or wirelessly) it is recommended that the customer uses our application over the local network. This provides the fastest and most responsive use of our application.
Below follows an example of the recommended installation setup. The only variable is how Waved Hub communicates with the processor which may differ from venue to venue depending on the configuration of their network and sound system. The options are by ethernet cable (recommended) or wirelessly over WIFI.
